August 4, 200818 yr ^ Why PM? I'm sure the OP isn't the first person to have this problem, and they won't be the last either. If we can solve the problem in a public place, it'll benefit more people in the long run. Let's say your theme is called "billybob". All your theme files need to be in a folder / directory called "billybob". In order for it to be a valid theme, you must have an index.php file and a style.css. Everything else is optional. "Billybob" needs to be here: /path/to/wordpress/wp-content/themes/ That should work. If it doesn't, let us know.
August 4, 200818 yr I asked him to PM me because I have access to his server because I set wordpress up, but yeah I suppose you could just walk him through it on here. Anyway rachael is spot on.
August 4, 200818 yr Walking through is good... because then you'll know how to do it next time if you ever want to install another theme, and the next time someone asks we can save time by pointing them over here.
