Im new here, and i really wish you could help me around.

 

I want to desighn a logo for our class.. so it has to have the number 6 and its got to be related to physics or maths. This is my first time creating one.. Any tips?

As for tips think of what it has to represent, if you are an intermediate designer as you claim on bit about you then you will have experience with designing thing, obviously not logos but the process of design is always the same, so the knowledge that you do have will help you out. So as it is maths and physics related think about them, what represents them, then sketch down ideas on paper, no one has to see these ideas so they don't have to be works of art. Once you have your idea then worry about how you will create it in photoshop, as that is the easier part of this...the idea is the hardest.

not really. Logos arent simple they have to represent something.

The only reason those "simple" logos are great is because of the impact they make on life and the way we use things. Without that impact the logos wouldn't be great. Its the service that pushes the logo not the other way around. anyone who thinks the logo pushes the service needs to consider if they are a great designer or go back to learning about design.

You are saying that the fedex logo is simple, the way they placed the arrow in it? Yes most of the best logos are simple at first glance but the simple logos are the ones that take the most time to make. You can't just go into photoshop pick a font write the name and be done with it expecting it to be a good logo because of how simple it is. You have to think harder about them, because these are the logos that have to have the most impact because they are so simple. So yes simple = good but simple also = most hard to create as even on wrong bit of space could turn the logo from excellent to terrible.

Telling us of colours, images, styles etc you'd like used for the logo would help.

Well our class they like: pink, purple, maybe a little brown and yellow..

 

about the images it would be great if there was a big number and in front of it the words or a 3d image of a hand with maths signs on it like plus equal.. etc or shapes like cubes ( of course these are ideas ).
