February 6, 20179 yr Hi, how much can I ask for a website with 5 simple pages and 1 product page with 100 products. For each product, there will be a separate page with description. So it is actually six separate pages and 100 product pages. It's not gone a be a webshop. Instead of a "Cart" or "Buy" button you will be directed to the contact page. When the website is finished it has to be also in 2 languages. Hopefully someone can give me some advice. Best regards, AnitaH.
February 6, 20179 yr Sounds like a lot of it is just data entry after you have designed the pages. Would depend on a lot of things like how you receive the data - the text format and the images. Not easy to quote and very risky to do so I would say.
February 6, 20179 yr Author Hi, thanks for your respons. I will receive all the text (NL and EN) and photo's, so I just have to "paste/copy" it all in. The design is almost finished. I'm using the Divi WordPress Theme. I work with this theme for several years and it's very easy to use and customize. (But for the other language I have to do everything twice).
February 6, 20179 yr Divi is one of the worst themes. It's popular because people are used to it but it is a bloated, clunky, out-of-date and poorly responsive theme. However, the theme is irrelevant to yout question. There are a number of translation plugins you can use: https://www.google.co.uk/#q=wordpress+translation+plugin They all to pretty much the same job so you main task is the data entry. It's a fairly simple job to import everything from a CSV and create the 100 product pages. Again there are various tools to help you do this. Everything else is standard wordpress functionality. So what exactly is it you need help with?
February 6, 20179 yr Author Hi, thanks for your comment. For now I stick with the Divi Theme because so far it works fine for me. But maybe it's a good suggestion to look for another one also. My question you can see above (I want to make a client an offer for a website, 100 product pages in 2 languages).
February 6, 20179 yr Sorry, I misunderstood your post. You are asking how much you should charge for building the site. Nobody but you can answer this. I'd charge £1000+ for this job. Not because it's difficult but because it's time consuming. The exact figure would depend on the how the data is presented, if there are images and how the translations have been prepared.
February 7, 20179 yr Honestly, I would be wary of people charging per page...it just seems very old fashioned.
February 8, 20179 yr $600 is enough good price for this kind of website. As website in wordpress and have 5-6 pages with 100 product images. So I hope you can complete the whole website in a week with all product data entry. Only big thing you will face with language. If you have all the content in 2 languages then you have to create 2 page for each link. I think you can use some wordpress language converter plugin if that work. Cheers, Jayden
February 8, 20179 yr I wouldn't pay more than 300 - 400 dollars for this kind of website. It doesn't require custom programming. Best of luck!
