Wordpress Multisite using domains for network blogs

Featured Replies

You need to buy the domain name and set up domain mapping on your multisite.

There are lots of tutorials on how to do this but this is one of better ones: https://premium.wpmudev.org/blog/domain-mapping-wordpress/

Note, you may need a unique IP address for your multisite as this is the primary identifier for domain mapping.

It's not complicated to do but it does need some care setting everything up.

There are tricks I have discovered that allow you to do domain mapping without a dedicated IP.

On cpanel hosting, simply add the domain that you are mapping as a parked domain.
