Lots of key elements are missing!

• No unique selling points
• No call-to-actions
• Where's all your important pages?
• Etc...

I recommend you compare it against other big eCommerce websites first. You have to understand that they're built the way they are for a reason. Mimic their structure. Perhaps when you are satisfied that it looks and performs like other online shops, ask people again?

I have to agree the site looks empty. Seems quite plain (which is not necessarily a bad thing) but shops should try to grab the user's attention, particularly to focus the users on the products. Scrolling on the homepage to see the first row of products seems like a bad idea to me. Flagship products and deals should have a prominent place there.

 

I would perhaps move the login button to the top bar, it almost looks as if it's part of the copyright notice.

 

The colour looks a bit mustard-y and dull, perhaps something a bit more vibrant?

 

Shop page has too big a wall of text before showing the products. Perhaps move it below?

Why did you choose this theme? Which version did you buy, the standard or the developer package?

Changed since I looked at it last. Before he was using a well-customized template, now he's just using a bog standard one.

It's still a pretty poor site. It looks like the products have just been added to the standard theme and a homepage generated. There are no trust marks, no marketing, no enticement to buy and the checkout hasn't been configured properly.

 

So there isn't really anything to review.

I changed the previous template because it wasn't very customisable. It was a free one which didn't have masses of options for call to actions etc. Do you think I should switch back?

 

Or how should I customise this new theme? And I chose the standard one.

 

I felt this theme gave more options and was more customisable. It has the promotion banner, features integration etc.

 

Or do you have any other theme recommendations on that note?

I have done the customisation to the previous theme. Added a call to action at the bottom of each page, added selling points on homepage, added space for testimonials etc.

What makes a site like this work is credibility not the theme. It the content that matters not the theme. However, the orange isn't a good colour and it's not a good UX on a tablet or a phone.

Ok thanks. I will work on content and credibility in the coming weeks. For credibility could I put the logo of a few pharmacy's the product is stocked at? What other ways are there?

 

How do you suggest I modify the current theme for a better UX on tablet and phones? Also what should I change the orange-yellow gradient to? I chose that gradient so that it matches the logo.
