Moving Hosting

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I just want to double check something.

A client of mine has a domain name with a hosting company and someone built him a very basic site a long time ago which is hosted somewhere else. The client wants to switch hosting to me as I'm building a new site.

So my question is, will email be disrupted if I update nameservers to point to my hosting. I will be creating the same email accounts on my hosting account that are currently there on the other hosrting account.

Hope that makes sense.

Cheers,

Al.

Hi Al

Depending on how you do it, yes and no. This is far best discussed with your actual hosting company, and their setup :-)

It was a question around email hotsing, all sorted.

*Created the same email addresses on the new hosting account and updated passwords. Deleted old email addresses on old hosting too.
