I'm just trying to see if maybe I could improve my ranking with google, I've done all I can think of but its still crap I don't even come up under "Web Designers Cambridge"

I must admit, although having a 100% record of getting all my clients to page one of Google..one site I struggle with is my own website design site!!

 

One thing I did do to overcome this is submit my site to http://www.google.com/local/add/businessCenter

 

This basically allows Google to put you on their local map. I don't know if you have noticed on some searches BEFORE the listings start Google now list local businesses first. Worth a try.

 

I don't really push mine though as I get work through referrals now, which hopefully you do too, or will do soon if you don't already

What are the DC. in the meta tags? There are many of these tags that I have never heard of. I'm no SEO expert but I noticed you're using many H1 tags, and you're even linking to non-existing pages within the h1. You titles are also quite repetitive in my opinion. Personally, I find the flash version more attractive and simpler; maybe a similar approach would help.

just a suggestion to your site... you can add more on your title, mention the keyword you want to target ex: design with style. mention it in your meta title, description, keyword as well as your body... and also i notice that your keywords are using semi colon ( instead of comma (,).... you can insert also alt tag in your images, but dont over do it just place whats appropriate to your target keyword.... try to download this one its a marketing strategy and a step by step method to optimize your site structuring.

I think your site needs an on-page optimization to improve your site's ranking. Instead of just using Styled Web Design in your title, why not use Web Designer Cambridge | Styled Web Design. I think this will give better results for your site. Same with the subpages of your site, you can also put some other keywords in their titles. You can also use your targeted keywords as your anchor text in the content of your site.

You're missing 4 alt attributes, install google analytics and webmaster tools, and remove all this stuff that isn't helping you in any way

- restyle the quote form, I think it could be better

- add a favicon, it's nice, people who notice details will appreciate it
