August 2, 201412 yr Hi For as long as I can remember I have used Matt Wright's CGI Form Mail rather than a PHP alternative to submit email forms from various sites. For the exact site in question we currently have to send contact form emails to a enquiries@website.co.uk address and then redirect to the AOL.com email account that we actually use. The c/panel based shared server host from time to time gets blacklisted, which can of course cause problems until the blacklisting is spotted and dealt with. I need a way to by pass the enquiries@ address and send straight to the aol.com address from the contact form. I'm sure there are way to do this, however I'm a graphic designer who has leant HTML and a little PHP, and frankly email form sending and SMTP I've always given a wide berth. Can I for instance use the aol.com server information and email address to give the form functionality to send? Ash.
August 2, 201412 yr Wow Matt Wright - there's blast from the past! Have you tried setting the form to send directly to the AOL address? Normally that will just work but, and it's a big but, it may be caught by various spam traps because ideally you'd normally need to send email to addresses for the same domain to prevent protection being triggered.
August 2, 201412 yr PS for any young people on WDF this is what the web looked like 20 years ago - http://www.scriptarchive.com/index.html - the scripts on this site were cutting edge for the day. Remembering that PHP was still in it's infancy and didn't really gain traction till later on.
August 7, 201412 yr have you try google apps ? or you might ever setting the MX entry inside ur DNS in cpanel ?
