What's the meaning behind the concept?

It's folded paper, meaning graphics, picture and shapes, in the shape of a speech bubble ( a square one ) denoting the literal 'mention design', well, that's the idea anyway

#1 is best. the gradient vedrsion could work if it was more subtle but not going from white to black or black to white - from silver to light/mid grey for example.
