FF3 - first impressions?

Featured Replies

I like the new features but I am not very happy with all the crashes I keep getting. I am using FF3 on a WinXP machine.

i hear that on Linux FF3 isn't spose' to be all that great, is this true?

For me FF3 on Win XP, crash, crash, crash!

On Linux, after a shaky start, perfect :)

really? I have a friend who has ff3 on linux and he says the way it work it slows stuff down so much. I don't get how your FF3 is so buggy on Windows. Xp or Vista? 8)

When I first used FF3 on Linux I was running Ubuntu 8.04 and it was quite buggy.

I've since started to use Fedora 9 and FF3 is lightning fast, as it should be.

On my XP machine however, it is slow and clunky, crashing constantly. Most of the time on XP, I use Opera  instead.

I'm liking it so far, looks nice and clean, and launches a lot quicker. I'm on OSX 10.5.4.

Works great on my dual-boot with Windows vista and XP. :)

Lovery Firebug doesnt work with FF3 - thats almost rason enough not to use it!....... that and it crashes everytime I have tried to install it!

Some of my plugins no longer work (Like Fasterfox or Foxy Proxy), but apart from that nothing to write home about. It is quicker and less buggy on my rig.
