April 16, 201412 yr I am creating this website for uni really but I will use it later once its cleaned up Basically I have an assignment due about a week into may, dynamic web so I am later going to integrate it into expression engine before then, I would love suggestions on how it can be improved but as I have little time between now and assignment due I will make the good suggested changes after that is out the way. http://mentiondesign.com/sitetwo/index.html please bear in mind that its not complete as yet so alot of the stuff I am intending on doing is not done, the only inner page (in case you miss it) is under the services page where you just click the icons to be taken to it.. Thanks
April 16, 201412 yr I love the CTA & quote underneath. Nicely done. I only wonder if things could be spaced out a bit more? Padding, white space etc.? Just feels a bit cramped. Also, trust the colors are properly synced as going together? The combo just seems a bit off. Not sure. Anyway, just an opinion. Nicely done.
April 16, 201412 yr Author Thanks, I will double check the white space, I think its where when I started I was unsure of bootstraps abilities and now I am a little more confident I think it could do with a little more The colours are according to the colour wheel, may not be everyone's favourite combination but to me it coveys a feeling of slight fun and non conformity, I wanted to break from the use of the sometimes analogous or complimentary only themes, I wanted a bit of both.
April 16, 201412 yr i find it a bit busy - mayeb the two top bands are just a little narrow and make it look like that i don't dislike it but there is something that jars a little - yes the colours go together but mayeb the images just make it a touch too busy for me. i'm just a simple bloke did u consider using svgs? 'n' missing from audience (audiece) are you using 24-bit pngs? they could easily be 8-bit with alpha as they are one colour - either do it in fireworks or try https://tinypng.com/ hover effect in the buttons would be nice (not everyone uses mobile all the time ) the call to actions i mean favicon logos don't align in latest stable firefox on win 7 http://mentiondesign.com/sitetwo/services.html

April 16, 201412 yr fair enough screenshot http://gekkoweb.com/stuff/mention-logos.png hmm same in chrome canary, opera next, and IE11
April 16, 201412 yr Author Ouch, very slight mis alignment, will have to hunt that one don't know what it could be, thanks for pointing it out though
April 17, 201412 yr Couple things really quick. Contact form is a bit wide. I'm guessing this is because bootstrap single columns everything u der 768 (eww). The spacing on your blog needs to go. You have blog headers running into images. On your home page, the graphic that has the dotted lines the background repeats on my nexus. Looks weird. Also seems like there is tag live overload. When you have so many, they all lose meaning.

Thanks for that, I have had a look into some of the issues you described, you are right I dont think there is anything I can do about the contact form but I have tried to sort the other issues out The spacing in the blog, I have re-arranged it a little, I hope that works now, the graphic, I have added a no repeat, whether that works I dont know, it might be the parallax. dont worry about the content just yet, it has to be tweaked anyway since it will be going into a cms I have checked the issues here http://mobiletest.me/ or should I say tried to but it does not seem to be pointing out any of the things you described so I have done my best to fix what I cannot see, please let me know if you still have those issues, some screenshots maybe? I have also fixed and sorted the majority of other issues people have spotted, thanks very much for the help, I am still very interested in comments if anyone has any, thank you
April 19, 201412 yr I've noticed that the title of your page is "Bootstrap 101 Template", you might want to change that. Other than that, it is a very nice site dude. Well done.
April 19, 201412 yr I was wondering how this project is coming along. It is looking great. I did like your idea you had before for the portfolio page with hexagonal images, is that something you have dropped or are you looking to work on that after your assignment is handed in?

It was beginning to be a pain, I was putting too much time into it, I will just blame bootstrap lol, so I changed it simply for time though not decided if it's something I will work on later, thanks

April 19, 201412 yr Author Cheers, I have found a solution for bootstrap, just having trouble with the implementation at the moment http://jsfiddle.net/mqyCb/59/
