Hi everyone, new member here.

 

I have recently become a freelance designer (self-taught) and only set up properly a year ago. Whilst I don't claim to know everything about web des/dev, I have a decent business brain and my business is doing ok.

 

Until now I have been using Dreamweaver and Serif WP to build sites. All the while I have been learning code and have now started doing bits in code.

 

Something I haven't done as yet is set up a CMS. I have had a big job come in to build a website and provide a CMS so that the business manager can update things on a daily basis, such as pictures, profiles, rotas and text content.

 

I know that Wordpress is apparently a good platform to build a CMS but I don't really have time to learn it for this project as it is quite an urgent job.

 

What I am looking for is someone to either build or help me build the CMS side of the site, for a fee of course. If any of you are interested in doing this, please email me at enquiries@gowiththetimes.co.uk. I will then give you more details about the site and what is required.

I would suggest choosing a cms rather than building a custom one. Personally I think ou should have some basic knowledge of a cms - Wordpress, Drupal whatever. Building a custom cms is fine but I think a little over kill( unless the project requires is) an off the shelf cms will have most of the problems ironed out and be robust as they are tried and tested. If you don't understand a cms just hire someone who does and go from there.
