I am helping redesign a website for a friend, i have told him so far that it has bad SEo because it is just..."an image" and also said that it should be designed in CSS and XHTML

 

Can anyone suggest otehr ways i could improve it please?

Eeegads.. why would one make an image of text instead of just using text?

 

Certainly switch to CSS from Tables... tables just make the code messy and slow the page down.

Other then that...

 

Get rid of the borders around the navigation buttons.

 

Make the navigation buttons out of text, so the text doesn't look so blurry.

 

The text itself could be organized into a more common layout.. 2 columns would probably work.

 

 

It's not a bad looking site, it's just coded wrong. Most of the stuff there besides the actual images can just be made with CSS.. like the black background, the navigation, the text...

Yeah i know, dont get me wrong i can do webuilding (So the links wont help ) i just needs ideas to redesign

When I start to design something I do some research about the client and then visit some inspirational sites. You can find tons of them out there.

How is this the wrong topic? (Website Reveiws and Feedback) - What was it i was asking for again... Yeah that was it... Feedback on a site that was going to get redesigned

 

And i want faults or improvments on the site, so that was quite an irrelevant answer :S

uum i like the site m8 but i dont like the txt in the buttons

Anyway ... to be helpful (just for once) - take a look at a few gym related UK based sites to get some tips/ hints/ ideas:

If it was me, I wouldn't even look at that site anymore, do some research into the client/ what the client wants and then start sketching.
