Can some one provide me the tools which are used for testing a website

What kind of tests are you looking to carry out? Validation? Responsive testing? Browser compatibility? If it's just taking a look at what you've made, use Dreamweaver to preview your work or just open the saved web page file in a web browser.

As throzen has said, you need to be a bit specific with what you're testing exactly. In general though, view your site in IE - that's usually my starting point for ironing out issues. Also, it goes without saying, testing on as many physical devices as you can lay your hands on. Virtual isn't always the answer.

I recently started using browserstack.com which is quite good (so far). Good selection of live test environment options but you can't beat pinching your friends phones and devices down the pub and having a little look

Yes Browserstack is really good for cross browser testing. It's a reasonable price, has lots of different browsers, OS and devices.
