I've decided to give an old site site of mine a bit of a facelift.

Now, you'll need to view this in 1024 x 768 for the time-being. I've been working on this for a couple of hours and would like to get some early feedback.

I think your menu needs a little bit of work, as you have this nice theme going on and then menu just looks like an after thought. So it just needs something to make it work with the theme you have going on.

 

 

also your logo is pixelated and a bit blurry so you might want to get a better quality one as it takes away from the nice illustrations you are using.

Yes, the logo is a bit of a nightmare, I know. I do have the original file for it, but it needs some touching up and that is most definitely not my strong point.

looking at your code, if you are planning on it to be a fixed with so that it fits into the porthole, it might be a good idea to have that image be part of your container rather than part of the body. This will help fix the problem of having a smaller or bigger resolution

Once the screen resi bugs are cleared up, I think it'll piece together nicely.

I think that should work now. Obviously still a work in progress.....

Ok, added some rivets as a background image to make the left hand side a bit more interesting...

btw...I've not gotten around to fixing the IE6 bugs for this yet.
