February 15, 201313 yr Just wasted flipping hours on this! None of the tutorials I can find work, Facebook's own code makes no sense and I just dont know if I'm totally wasting my time!? Basically, created a new Facebook page for a client and he wants his latest news and product information automatically sent to it when he updates his site (bespoke CMS). But I cant even manually get it to update the page. Using the latest SDK and examples, I can echo out what appears to be all the right information (i.e. its connecting using the AppId and Secret and returning the right userId for example), but the status never changes and there are no errors. The lack of errors or any sort of feedback is incredibly frustrating as I just cant see why its not working or how to fix it. Has anyone done this, or is it not possible?
February 19, 201313 yr I did this. It's not perfect but it works. Hope it helps. http://www.facebook.com/woodenhorse.roots/app_384445284918560 Check out the Events link to see what I mean.
February 26, 201313 yr It'd make more sense to update the Facebook page then display it on the website...awkward much?
March 24, 201313 yr Hey guys, What I'm trying to do is, create a Facebook button that dependent on which section of the custom CSS it's in creates a Facebook login link, then posts to the news feed or events feed information from the database. Any ideas how, can't get my head arround the open graph api. Help please.
