Website for hand-made macrame jewellery

At a glance, looks nice but obviously this is just the early stages so there is some things that people will pick up on. One thing is the logo is a bit hard to read maybe just me. Good job so far.

I agree on the logo and I think the site is nice (considering how early on it is) however, the buttons look dated imo. Also there is no contact method in the header or main nav.

edit:

I would personally ditch the buttons on the nav, and just go with a nice elegant font that blends well, but is also defined. Finish it with a fitting hover change state and i (personally) think it would look better.

Good luck and keep us posted! :)

concept for logo is good but it doesn't work because it's too hard to read - hah so it says "So knotty" hmm.

Thanks for the feedback guys,

Yes, the logo is a bit hard on the eyes - a difficult one because I'm pleased with the concept. I've tried it with just a plain white border instead of the purple, and it seems much more legible. I'm also changing the colour scheme (at the clients request) so I might be able to work it in better with the new colour scheme.

I agree with your opinions about the buttons Jamesosix, they look a bit tagged on. A friend of mine suggested I go with the thread theme throughout the page, as in the logo, so I might do something like have the thread around the links or something.

Hi all,

Checkout the coded prototype here: www.zachtownsend.co.uk/soknotty. Let me know what you think and where I can go with it.

I can't take credit for coding the image carousel, this was a plugin of someone elses work, styled to suit the page. I would like to get a nice shadow underneath it like the design but couldn't work out how to do that. Anyone got any ideas?

Thanks
