January 2, 201313 yr Good afternoon, I have recently re-ventured back into the wonderful world of web-design, and wow have i missed a lot. I have just placed my new site online, and i am thinking of completely rebuilding it already. so any comments welcome http://teqqnet.com/
January 2, 201313 yr Welcome to a designers world! Myself, and a couple of my friends, are never happy with our sites. We make something awesome and as soon as it goes live we see flaws and want to redesign it. Strengths Everything you need has a little on the front page, information, news, projects Weaknesses It feels dated, you probably need to break out of the box. Portfolio needs to stand out more to attract people, it gets lost in all the information on the page. Add a contact form to the about page, it just makes things easier for people.
January 2, 201313 yr Author thats brilliant feedback, i alrady plan on taking it out of the box making it a little more open, and portfolio was also on my list. im thinking about putting a contact form on every page as a slide out or something? Thanks for your feedback
January 3, 201313 yr Design wise I like it but there a few behind the scenes mark up errors, check out this sort site scan result of your site http://try.powermapper.com/Reports/606e0bc1-f05d-4c10-a7ff-5c873772b181/report/map.htm
January 4, 201313 yr text is too small, especially the very small text. the snow gets very distracting. bit more line height on the text. size your flags properlyand use 8-bit pngs not jpegs
January 4, 201313 yr Author cheers, snow was just a christmas feature, that will come off in a coupleof days, I think i will rebuild it really, open the design up and make everything much bigger and clearer.
January 4, 201313 yr The one major thing I noticed and this is coming from a guy has hired designers is that your slideshow is moving too fast for me to even be able to figure out what you have to offer. I didn't read past that. I spent exactly as much time on your website as I would if I was hiring a designer right now. I looked, got dizzy with the rotating slides, and left. It might be worth considering.
January 5, 201313 yr cheers, snow was just a christmas feature, that will come off in a coupleof days, I think i will rebuild it really, open the design up and make everything much bigger and clearer. I went off .js snow after a year. The most I'd do nowadays is give my logo a Christmas hat. It's less distracting but still Christmassy.
January 5, 201313 yr Author yeah, i see what your saying, its a very commonly used plugin aswel, where as a few years ago it was a nice little unique feature.
January 5, 201313 yr Everyone likes new stuff But now it's just been done so much, the novelty has worn off. However I wouldn't mind it on gaming sites or more relaxed sites. It doesn't feel right for you target audience.
January 5, 201313 yr Author completely agree. Cheers for everyones feedback. It has become clear what needs to be done. [Opens Notepad ++] Craig
January 5, 201313 yr Websites are always a work in progress. You are braver than I am. I don't think I'll be posting any of my own for review just yet. I can tell you that I have a longer list of things to do to fix my own websites than anybody else could give me. I don't need to add to my workload. :-) Edited January 5, 201313 yr by WebsiteWriter
January 6, 201313 yr The background image (which I don't really like anyway) keeps jumping now and then, usually when I scroll! Also a lot of the icons are super rough around the edges... Content feels a little cramped (which isn't helped by the size of the font), might be worth coming up with a less grid-esque layout and something a little more linear and organised. You've got sections in threes and then sections of threes within subsections of twos, just gets confusing!
January 6, 201313 yr Author Thanks, I posted to get this template reviewed as wel. www.jayharrisofficial.com. Didnt get a reply on the post, if anyone wouldnt mind reviewing, its only the index page.
January 6, 201313 yr Stop using those stupid stock pictures of the little white men, they're synonymous with terrible indian spammer sites.
January 6, 201313 yr If i were doing this, I'd tone down the white a bit, maybe use ghostwhite or something and also soften the black for the main text. Plus do you have her phone number please?

January 6, 201313 yr Author Being brutally honest, it reminds of those all too familar Indian Web Design companies that have that similar style. Don't like it, sorry Looks dated by modern standards After the feedback ive had and looking at the site over and over again, i completely agree. going to be rebuilding this week. Thanks to everyone for all your feedback
January 7, 201313 yr Being brutally honest, it reminds of those all too familar Indian Web Design companies that have that similar style. Don't like it, sorry Looks dated by modern standards It's those little white stick men that do it, I swear.
January 7, 201313 yr Author It's those little white stick men that do it, I swear. Consider them gone on my new design. I will repost when its built
January 7, 201313 yr If i were doing this, I'd tone down the white a bit, maybe use ghostwhite or something and also soften the black for the main text. Plus do you have her phone number please? This made me laugh. I also laughed at the part where Craig indicated that he had spent more time on this website than any other. I will leave it at that. *wink wink. I love it man.

I love it man. HAHA i havnt spent the most time on it because of who the client is, just because its my highest value client, and the hit rate will be so high, it has to be spot on.. But good call
