hosting package

Featured Replies

hey folks

been designing for over a year now & mostly for people who have their own hosting packages. Now I want to be able to offer the hosting & everything with the site. I also need to get my own site up. I contacted Blacknight.com as most of my experience is with them. This is what they suggest. https://cloudstore.blacknight.com/hosting/fixed-cloud-hosting.html What do people think? Is it a good place to start?

thanks

Elizabeth

Hi,

I use tsohost (link can be found on my site, in my sig). I swear by them to be honest! I recommend them to all my clients. Never had any issues, and upgrading/downgrading packages is easy peasy not to mention the support they offer is first class. I always get a reply within a matter of minutes (longest I had to wait was 25 minutes) and I only have a pro package myself. Also, if you do sign up I can give you a 10% discount code off any hosting package. Just use jamesosix at the check out.

I have never used Blacknight, but the package/price looks decent.

Good luck either way. :)

The hosting package you linked too is for a Cloud VPS, have you works with Linux before? Even with a managed VPS it is always best to have some knowledge of SSH / server management.

Personally I would recommend a reseller hosting account to start off with and then move on to a VPS. If you find a good company to have a reseller with they could migrate you easily to a VPS (as long as they offer VPS services). Also make sure to get a good control panel like cPanel/WHM on either the Reseller or VPS :)

A few companies that do both Reseller & VPS's: EUKHost / CWCS / TSOHost - It all depends on your requirements but best to ask a few hosting companies and see what they recommend for you.

Best of luck!
