Wow, what size monitor do you have? (I'm jealous ) I admit I focused more on mobile and tablet views and did a larger screen view as an afterthought. I'll get on that right away. Thanks for having a look.

You could probably wrap those two divs in one and just give them the same float as the top one.

Also, the copyright stuff and text at the bottom needs a new font colour, can't read it just now.

Seems I forgot to clear my float. I work on a 15 inch laptop so 24" seems huge. I might have to sort out how to separate the sidebar and add it to the right. There is too much background there. Many thanks for the fresh eyes. I'll have to experiment with the copyright text as I don't want it leap out either.

pretty nice! but...

make the background gradient on the nav hover/dropdown more subtle - it looks a bit MS office

make the drop shadow more subtle - it's a bit too heavy

Thanks Dap! You're dead on about the box-shadow being too heavy. I lessened the opacity and it does look much better. Do you mean the tannish background gradient on the dropdown hover menu? I never used MS office much so I don't remember what it looked like.

Thanks pankyone. It might be your resolution but is your laptop a PC or Mac? I've only done virtual testing so far.

Yep, 24" screen here, they are pretty common nowadays

It also does it on my 15" lappy screen if i go full window

Thank you all. I've adjusted it for a 1435px+ but I'm not sure if I should adjust it again for 1604px? The spaces don't really bother me personally.

I haven't cached anything yet but plan on doing so when everything is as it should be. As for SEO, I'm using the Yoast SEO plug-in.

Don't browsers cache stuff anyway?

 

I don't really see the point of it if it's dynamic, could be serving old versions of the site to people.
