Art work for print

Featured Replies

Hi everyone.

I have done an art work in photoshop at canvas size 3000px X 2000px in rgb colors at 600dpi. I want to get it printed onto a real canavs then framed.

The question is as far as print go's, should this have been done on the cmyk mode or can i just send the flatten psd file to the printer, or would it need to be a PDF file ? not sue what format to send to the printers?

Thanx.

I am a printer :) All colours need to converted to CMYK on your side as I would charge you a file handling fee for not doing that. You need to see how the colours appear in CMYK, so convert it first to avoid disappointment.

The best way to send the file would be PDF or EPS. Every printer should have a server dedicated for uploads in case you file weights a lot.
