September 8, 201214 yr So I had a really stupid idea a while back. A friend and I needed to settle an agument, probably like which movie to see at the cinema or something. We prepard a game of Rock, Paper, Scissors via text.. This is the direct brainchild of that text exchange: http://settlr.co.uk If you want to test it, just set a game up and load the generated link in a new tab. I should mention I did hardly any of the clever stuff, it was essentially my idea, and I drew the pictures, but all the clever stuff was handled by someone far cooler than myself. Also, it doesn't work quite like I would have hoped, originally I wanted the results to be sent via email, or perhaps on screen and email, but currently you have to stay on the webpage and *wait* for the results. I also would have loved it to be more social, making it easier to challenge someone to a game over twitter. Let me know what you think. Lewis. Edited September 8, 201214 yr by Lewwy
September 12, 201214 yr I like this idea! I must say I am going to bookmark this page for future arguements! It is simple and gets the job done, one suggestion if you dont mind? How about where you "play the computer" for those arguements that you want an instant decition? So lets say you are sat there at home trying to choose a DVD and you and your girlfriend are arguing over chick flick versus an Arnie film. There is only one way to deside, if you win you get Arnie if you loose its an hour and a half of torture. You go to web page choose very wisely and hope for the best outcome. Instant desition letting a computer deside your fate. But it is cool you can play against someone too!
