Teaching myself seo, and have come across certain bits of information, which is are quite interesting and useful, but something stuck me, like a wet slap

 

article submission software, seems like it takes all the work out of seo (apart from content creating and keyword research of-course) ....too good to be true?

 

pro and cons?

I dunno tbh. With all the recent penguin/panda updates, I would say the best way to do seo, is manually and properly, and as always good unique content is king. I generally find any types of automated software to be more of a hinderance than a help, but I would encourage other people to have a say. I could be wrong.

Yeah jamesosix is right, especially with penguin/panda updates. It is always best to do it manually as google and other search engines will see natural SEO being done, with these automated software it is done far too quickly and is often looked as spam.

 

It is upto you but i wouldn't bother if i was you, just use old fashioned hard work. Plus if you do it manually you are controlling where and what is happening with your articles.

Well i didnt find the tip to use article submission software in some seedy backroom forum, it was in a book by ben norman..... but it does kinda hit me as spammy, and if google dont punish people for the use of it now, i was thinking in one of the updates it might just do that.....so i dont know if it would be wise to use it myself, as all my hardwork might just be undone

 

but like if google doesnt view it as spam or never will do, then it really is a great tool to use, and it would silly not to use it. it would be like a graphic designer who draws everything by hand and doesnt use photoshop or something

I would say manual is the best way to go.

It all depends how you go about it.

Using software to automate a certain part of the task of submitting articles isn;t going to get you banned.

However that's assuming you've done your research and the articles you submit are going to the correct and relevant places and are using relevant content.

 

Now, if you use the software to submit a trash article to a hundred sites, then you've got problems.

I would suggest that you better get rid of all those nasty scripts and automation softwares which does the bulky work for you in no time. Google's penguin update is a potential threat for such software users and there are high chances that you get penalized for such activities. Rather go for manual submissions, although slow, the links would count and hold good value!
