I've been pottering away on Deign Crowd for the last couple of days (their UI is abit dodgy), what I really wanted to ask is if anyone had any first hand knowledge of designing for clients on there. Any horror stories etc..

Those sites are good in the case you have don't any portfolio and you want to build some. For nothing more than that. They are the most powerful way of devaluating design work... It's a crime with designers.

I hope to seek no attention putting it that way.

 

I participated my first contest at designcrowd listed for £225 ($339). But I only recieved $294. I don't know what has happend. Just sent them an email. Have to wait till thier explanation. I don't think I'm gonna do more work for them unless it's clarified.
