Designing Gallery for Wordpress

Featured Replies

I am jumping into the world of web design/development. I currently maintain websited for two clients. One of these is a taxidermist. Since I am only now learning to code and design, I have maintained both of these sites through CMS.

Anyways, I need to design a gallery for use on the Taxidermy site, and frankly, Wordpress' default option is junk. I haven't had much luck with plugins either, but maybe there is a good option out there. I am looking for a grid layout to use instead of the current default, which can be found here: http://non-typicaltaxidermy.com/?page_id=30.

I understand that the site design is a poor one, I am thinking of proposing a redesign soon after I finish developing my own website.

Any suggestions on how to create a grid layout gallery?

Well I don't know what Mike and Renaissance think of it, but I like nextgen gallery plugin. Used it on my last project and seemed to go down well. Can't really fault it that much so far.

As far as having a "grid" type layout, surely that's more down to your markup and styles,, rather than which actual gallery you use? Any gallery will require you to dive in there and customise it to your liking.
