June 8, 201214 yr So on 26the of June mine contract will be over however It will be extended. I´m getting a permanent contract this time for 1 year instead of a half year. Mine job is atm;, crew employee of the Burger King. Even though I´m a simple employee I have already trained some new colleagues and recently the managers asked if I want to become a crew trainer.(I can even become manager if I want but for the low amount of cash that you receive for it I declined it). I have also always supported the manager as sharing mine idea's for our own store and telling the - and + points of the store. Anyway I'm going to be the next crew trainer. The speed of service has been raised up dramatically since this year and the number of customers as well. Basically we run around €250,- to €300,- p/h off right now as in the past it was only max €150,- p/h. I run a 4-5 days shift from 17.00 - 24.00. I'm doing the kitchen job were you required a minimal of 2 crew employees. Also I have already work at 5 different locations for a couple of days and 2 locations I have worked 1-2 months. So with all of this information for you, what would be a good way to request a promotion during the conversation?
June 9, 201214 yr The biggest problem is you work for a massive multi-national company. That virtually eliminates any flexibility as everything would have been set to rigid plan of action by head office and HR. Your first step would be to organise a meeting with your superior. Then just be honest and say you're ready for the next challenge.
June 9, 201214 yr Yes agreed, it maybe difficult. But as always, don't talk about the money, talk about how you wish to progress and develop. Then if they bring up money, then negotiate if your not happy with what you they offer you.

However the salary for it is quite low to even talk about. Even mine manager who is 21 years, earn much lower then I do. You would expect that he would earn the same amount as I do...
