Hello,

I have been trying to learn webdesign for two weeks my self. All self taught. My website is http://www.limodoncaster.com/. I have made a few more similar to this one with different text.

Once i completed the website using a html checker it showed two warning. No Character Encoding Found! Falling back to UTF-8.

So i looked at a few websites and put in a code. Then when i re checked the website on Html checker there was eight errors. So from 0 errors i went to 8.

Please can someone help me i have tried to solve it for 2 days.

My other problem is i have three position: absolute. All three seem to be fine in browers on laptops. But on the i phone they all move to the left.

I hope someone has the time to guide me, as the college dont start website till september and i want to learn before then

Many thanks Daneil

Code tags added, please use them in future.

hey

from what i can see the errors are to do with your css.

the errors are showing

text align should be text-align so need to change all of them

and footer color is showing #0000000 should be #000 or #000000

hope this helps change and try again

another thing, limo doncaster goes over the img on my browser you might want to me the img in a bit by putting a margin-left or reduce the width of the img. if you reduce the img try about 475px instead of 520px should be about the right size then you can just play around with it to get to the desire location.

You got Skype or similar?

Seems to validate now

Added code tags... Please use!

Ricrod, You posted the code but no explanation, is that code working, is it broken etc?

Also when you post code, wrap it in the

tabs. (The two arrows opposite from each other above the text editor).

Edited April 7, 201214 yr by JordanC

Code now valid just looked at it earlier. The absolute alignment for the telephone number top right might need amending. But now valid and errors removed especially meta errors and doc type etc

Threads merged.

Please do not post multiple instances of the same thread in different forums. In future they will be removed not merged.
