Opinion about my work

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I would like to get your opinions about my works.

http://adventurefriends.com.au/

This website was design by me and my friend. We are still consider about the layout, and color, and we want to take your opinions about them. Is it match the design quantiy and are there any limitation

Many thanks you :)

There's some great design features to your website I would just take in to account user experience. I really don't know where I should be looking, my eyes are shooting everywhere and the last thing I noticed is your products :(

I would consider toning down the orange on certain elements and just making the important elements orange, "add to cart" would be a good one to have orange etc. I always like having the price in green ;) Psychological.

I like it, as said before some good features but my one critisim is that its too busy

Reduce the number of boxes so you can clean up the visual hierarchy. There was another site that had a similar problem.

Maybe investigate some jquery for enhancement into accordion panels and that kind of thing - might save you some space.

For example - your lh column.

And yeah it is too wide, but - if you made it responsive you could keep this (kind of) for the 1280 version.

I'm not sure whether it's actually too busy, or you just need clarify sections a bit. Make the visual heirarchy more eye catching.

Perhaps your content section is too wide - it is 5 items wide, I think you could get away with say 4 and contract the width of the site a bit.

I honestly don't think it's half bad I mean maybe for someone with a smaller screen resolution it might not be too good but its a decent site from my point of view!

Interesting! very interesting - your designer really has marvelous design concepts :-)

I like the banner specially.

I’m actually with Deezo on this one. Maybe we have a different screen size/resolution, but everything looks nice on my computer. Doesn’t seem to wide and looks very professional.

Might be worth looking at in different screens and environments.

I also find it a bit busy starting with the logo. I think you could keep the handshake logo with some simple block caps and have a less cluttered effect. I also have to say the moving ad banner really annoys me and distracts me from just about everything else.

Lots of potential just needs some visual hierarchy and somewhere to rest the eyes.

+1 on the busy'ness.

More specifically....

- I had no idea until I looked properly that your top banner wasn't an advert.

- Seems to lack a consistent grid structure.

- The image in the logo I feel dominates the text and makes it less readable.

- I'm not sold on your nav bar. Looks particularly busy.

Has potential. I like the colours.

It is too wide and you just have too much going on on the home page. Too many products and the Flash bit on the right takes away from what the visitors should be doing, going into your products and buying them.
