SEO Help and Backlink Quality

Featured Replies

Hi

I needed some help in creating some backlinks for one of my new sites, so I have engaged an SEO organisation to help me get started.

They have created some 5 backlinks, but I am concerned. I would like to receive some feedback from the experts on this forum as to the quality, authority, Page Rank, ethics, approach that has been employed.

The following link will take you to one of the sites where my backlink is contained:

www.builtinghana.com/ghana-properties/index.aspx?g=buying-the-right-car

The sector that I am in is automotive.

I am very appreciative of any replies received.

Thanks

Sue

Just about the worse kind of backlink you could ask for. No value in this at all.

1. PR NA

2. The website has no traffic

3. The site is not relevant to yours, meaning no click throughs!

4. Website is target is another country, which does not help much in this country!

You need relevant, high traffic, high PR backlinks with a low amount of outgoing links!

Thank you for the reply, I had hoped that I was wrong!

I would still appreciate some additional comments from the experts on this forum, even if it's the same conclusion. I fear this is all going 'pear shaped'!

Thank you.

Any backlinks at all are good if the context string on the link is correct. It will have some value.

The homepage of that site has a pr of 2 - although that is not a reflection at all of how the page is ranked as there are many many factors that go into it

So re the last couple of posts. This is my understanding of what's been stated:

1. Even thought the actual page has no Page Rank (PR), the home page has a PR of 2. So this does have some value to my site, but it might be small. Is this correct?

2. There may be some value to my site if the Title Tag for the URL Link is correctly defined. Is this correct?

Thanks

No, not really!

For example if I got a PR3 site linking to mine and it had 10 outgoing links, then my site would gain point something of a percent value to my site as the value would be divided amongst those outgoing links, which may help in a small way.

If I got the same from a website that was a PR NA then I would probably need a hundred million of these to do the same as a PR3 website, which is useless and a total waste of time!

On top of this, I would gain no traffic through those links!

Almost all baklinks are good. This that you have received is good - having the value of 1 ...from a good backlink scale from 1 to 10...but is not a backlink which can represent a reputable SEO company

As long as the website is having some good content and the theme of the website is related to your website there is no problem, even if there is no PR.

Your right, there is no problem, but there is also no benefit!
