ADOBE FIREWORKS CS5

Hi i am not sure if this is the correct home for this question but as i am pretty sure most of you use this software i am curious about a slight problem that i cannot seem to understand or solve.

I have installed the software once before, but due to a reformat of my lappy i have had to install again. only this time i have come across some malfunctions (for a better word).

Basically if i select Commands>creative>Auto vector mask. All i get is .. the pop-up window opens but instead of giving me options.. its blank. And this is the same for 1 or 2 other options?

Any ideas why! I'm thinking of doing a re-install.. but thats not easy as my laptops drive needs a resurrection :-)

Thanks

Does nobody use FW anymore :-)

People still use Fireworks, for sure.

It sounds like another Adobe memory leak thing. I got them all the time when I was using computers at school with small amounts of memory (2gb-4gb). Panels that don't have anything on them, toolbars missing, etc. Usually a restart will take care of it but make sure your machine meets the recommended specs for the app. You should also do the usual maintenance on it to make sure nothing else is going on.

A reformat wouldn't hurt, either.

Is yours a full licensed copy?

Only reason i ask is that support forums are full of people with these issues and most times it turns out they are using version procured from a less than legal source (if you know what i mean eh eh ;) ).

yes full copy i received when studying @ ciw.I recently contacted adobe regarding the situation they just passed me on.. but i gave them the licence key and its 100% valid.

Maybe i should do a Reboot... as far as memory goes im pretty sure there's enough to go round.

Thanks
