April 26, 200818 yr Yeah a friend of mine told me of an incident where another friend of his click an advertising link - testing it to see if it works and they shut down his site. lesson: Don't test the links.
July 3, 200818 yr Yeah a friend of mine told me of an incident where another friend of his click an advertising link - testing it to see if it works and they shut down his site. lesson: Don't test the links. The chance of this happening is pretty slim. I am not encouraging ANY clicks on your own adsense but the chance of him getting banned from one click as a test is just unlikely. If he did get banned it will be for more than this trust me. As for the member asking about advice, well... it's really all related to the type of website you have. Don't make a website purely with the intention of making a revenue from adsense, that just won't work. Build a website for your visitors, make it interesting, make it so that your visitors are likely to stay on your website and possibly browse several pages. Once you have a good readership THEN think about placing your google adsense on your site. Don't overdo the adverts: Although you are allowed several blocks of Adunits and Linkunits, don't necessarioly think that placing your maximum amount of units on will increase your revenue, chances are it will do just the opposite. Place Google adsense on the Left hand side if possible rather than the right. 160 x 600 and 336 x 280 sized adsense blocks tend to do better than most others. Be patient, it doesn't make you rich overnight... many cases it doesn't make you rich! I started experimenting with Adsense about 4 years ago and was lucky to make 2 or 3 dollars a month! I now earn just about enough to live on without working but it has been a hell of an upward battle to get there!! and the battle still goes on...
July 23, 200818 yr You can earn money through Google Adsense because if you place Google Ads on your site/blog, google will pay you everytime someone has viewed and clicked your ads. what is google adscense . What exactly is this.
July 23, 200818 yr Yeah a friend of mine told me of an incident where another friend of his click an advertising link - testing it to see if it works and they shut down his site. lesson: Don't test the links. Not from one click, repeated clicks will. I believe there is now an option in the backend that blocks your IP address from being counted so you can click through them to see what the ads are.

April 2, 200917 yr Thanx ooyes for useful links and explanation! Very useful info for a beginner like me!
April 29, 200917 yr Google is not shutting down adsense accounts based on one or two clicks on own ads, but if you repeat it constantly, you'll receive mail from google (or not in some cases) and they will tell you to stop that or else... I have added ads on my website and can tell you, for 1 month 4$ , but I need much more work to earn more than that...
June 15, 200917 yr I think google will not ban any site for 1 click. But repeated offence will result in being banned. For furthur reading Go to google adsense section for Invalid Click Issues and Concerns. you can also report invalid clicks and there is a form to do it. Watch out for unusual click activity. My site had unusal click activity having 100 addition click in few hours. I have reported it, as per guidelines.
June 16, 200917 yr Once you have a good readership THEN think about placing your google adsense on your site. I was always on the understanding that if you plan to but adverts on a website you should from day one because when you switch from a site with no adds to one with adds you will get a lot of complaints etc.. Eg. If people see adds from day one they expect them and dont think about them too much whereas if theyre put in at a later stage they stand out quite badly. What are your thoughts on this?
