Which SSL would you recommend for reliability, ease of installation and price.

 

Having previously used Heart Internet GeoTrust basic SSL, at £40 per annum I think there can be better deals.

 

The SSL will be implemented on a Prestashop store

40 quid is about right for a entry level ssl

you can get cheaper eg http://www.123-reg.co.uk/ssl-certificates/

 

however, to transfer to your server you will need a dedicated IP address which will probably cost you 20quid a year anyway.

"Unfortunately RapidSSL certificates are not supported by our Servers. To use SSL it must be purchased through Heart Internet."

 

rapidSSL are good value. This seems a bit of a con that you MUST buy theirs only..

 

I guess this also rules out COMODO

I like Thawte SSL CERT

 

You should be prepared for a lengthy registration process and they aren't the cheapest but just like everything there are levels of security.

 

Different types of certificates do different things and different providers perform different checks... for me it's the best balance of price vs security.
