After being ripped off by a designer on oDesk i'm looking for some advice on finding a good all round designer (PHP,CSS,HTML5 etc..) any suggestions? I'm on a tight budget - as i mentioned in my other post about finding a designers who would be willing to work with me for a partnership in my business. Nothing has arose from this offer so i'm trying to go it alone.

I can't see this going down very well on this site. You should look elsewhere.

 

PS, that might be why you got you're leg lifted on oDesk. Web Developers with any substance usually avoid proposals like this.

For that sort of job i'd be looking at being paid for the job rather than per hour.

The other point is, why would someone put in all their effort for 'a partnership in your hosting business' when they could do a better job for themselves and keep all the profit?

 

Do you think that the people on here have not heard of hosting reseller accounts?

You seem to have made a decent start of it so just carry on, or pay someone the right price as Mike said as a fixed fee to get the result you are after. Forget all this profit share nonsense.
