July 26, 201115 yr Hi, I am starting out as a Junior Web Developer, however I have not come from a web-development background, and do not have a proper portfolio of any web work, so the best way I thought was to create a website for my own portfolio for all future work for employers to see. Some problems I have noticed is that, in Internet Explorer if you click the menu buttons, the items disappear however if you move the cursor around after it re-appears again. July 26, 201115 yr Is that your first ever site? If so, it's pretty good for a first try! I have a suggestion for the navigation - rather than have a block of white when you hover over, what do you think to just changing the font colour to white instead? IMO it would look a lot cleaner. Also, try playing around with the layout of sections in the About Me and Contact page. It looks a bit odd in the center. But other than that it's not bad!

Thanks, yes this has been the first site I have created, haven't done any web development before, yer I know what you mean about the layout of those pages I wasn't sure where I wanted to put everything, so I just kept is simple but I will fiddle about and see what looks best. If it so than its good. I do not like the background. I think it´s to heavy. The suggestion from MarkJaner for the navigation is good. It would take the site to a lighter design. However nice that you did the corner with css. You used a lot of coding and that is good. If you would take the turn from MarkJaner you even would saving the JS you´ve just for Sprite. You could do it just with text or with the background-position/ul-li in CSS. You do not need JS for that. Optimization :-D Keep on going there is a lot to do but for a few months lots of good ideas ... it is, as you say, "Intermediate".

Maybe for your next design Thanks for the site, I have seen a few websites with menus, they look very cool. I had so many ideas of how to design my website, especially with jQuery, it was a tad annoying when I was in the middle of making my website that I had a better idea for design or functionality, maybe I will use those for future re-designs, I thought it was best to keep it simple since this was my first site.
