So I am currently working on designing a new template and I am a bit stuck with the footer. I have placed a temporary footer on it but it feels empty. I'm known for having some simple, to the point footers but in this design, I don't think simplicity really fits too well. I was thinking of having the footer be widget ready but just can't get a grasp on a style. Any suggestions?

Looks really good! I personally think it looks fine like that but if you want to add a bit more maybe like a site map would be quite good? Make it easier to navigate possibly? Instead of going to the bottom to have to go back to the top.

It's not bad, but it's a little bland and the typography needs a lot of work, there's too much dull-grey. The alignment is really off too, nothing really lines up. The logo is further from the right edge than the nav is from the left, and the more articles title should really be on the same horizontal positioning as the blog title.

The footer is fine, but maybe just add widget areas? Also, where's the site search?

What about inverting the nav in the admin? So the links are on white background with a grey button highlighting them?

@DJSelling I do apologize, when I was working on it, I did hide some content. I actually have 2 links on the right TOS and Privacy.

@brightonmike The padding is based off of 960gs. The right of the navigation is supposed to have a search icon. When the icon is clicked a search form would appear below it. Once again I think I hid it when I was working on it. The typography is based on Google Fonts, specifically the Lato font family. Wanted to help Google out a bit. The color is mainly because I got tired to colorful designs. Wanted something a bit grey. When I started desinging this, there was a heavy downpour and that was the mood I was in to be honest. Put all of that into the design.

@pandadoodle Not sure about the background as there is not background at all in the footer. But widget is something I'm looking at.
