July 12, 201115 yr He guys, I recently accepted my first assignment for a friend and i need some feedback. I made the following website: http://www.abovetherim.nl/jeroencortello/ Dont mind the code, it's still a mess. But something's missing. On top. I thought an awesome-great-super jquery sliding header would do the trick, but it doesn't really fit. it's too much. Any ideas? Or do you think it doesn't need something on top and something else should be changed? Please tell me what you think and make some suggestions! I practically have no experience in doing this, so i could use some tips from badass webdesigners like you guys. Thanks! Sam
July 12, 201115 yr How about a page title/ logo? I shouldn't have to rely on the URL to tell me where I am. Edited July 12, 201115 yr by cibgraphics
July 12, 201115 yr yeah I would go with a logo or page title on the top left of the page and then contact details on the top right. email, phone number.
July 12, 201115 yr Yep, you need to add a header/logo, right now it took me a while to even realize your navigation was there. Also the nav needs more padding, the hover effect goes a bit crazy with the buttons so close to each other and it remembering all the mouseovers. I am not too keen on the font used for your news headers. The basic layout is nice, like it. P.H.
July 12, 201115 yr Your body text is a custom font, whereas it has some smooth anti-aliasing on it, it can be a massive drag on performance.
July 12, 201115 yr Author It's a little messy, could do with a tidy up. What do you mean exactly? Everyone: thanks! Keep 'em coming!
