Google+ Invites Availbale

Featured Replies

Hi Guys,

I've got a few Google+ invites to offer if anyone is interested...and if anyone is on it already, what are your first thoughts?

My opinion (if anyone is interested) is that it could fizzle out rather quick like Buzz, although I will give it a good go! Not too keen on it at the moment but could be a grower!

No worries, post your gmail address and i'll get one sent!

May I suggest sending any email address through PM instead of posting on here. I made this mistake the other day. :)

No, Google+ takes any email address, I also have some available if needed.

Invite Sent...

Let me know your thoughts on it, my first impressions are that it isn't going to be as big a threat to Facebook as first thought!

Hmm, signed up. Problem now is that on the google home page I used to be able to click the little dropdown in the top right > account settings and it would take me direct to my webmaster tools area. Now it seems to point straight to google+, which I don't want. And there doesnt seem to be a way to access webmaster tools from there?

So more of a Google- then? ;)

Ha! I knew there was a reason I didn't do social networks lol

There is a link to "view older versions of the account settings page" which is kinda helpful, would be better if that was a default page though!

To be honest more than anything it's success will depend on whether they can get people to move onto it and away from Facebook.

And that will need them to open it up publically. The timing of that is crucial, right now they definitely need it invite only so they can polish it, make it work properly for people.

But the second everythings working fine and dandy they need to either go all in, make it public, and see how it goes, or in my opinion it'll just fade away.

Just my two cents. I much prefer the look, style and function over Facebook. I'm so bloody sick of that blue, facebook chat, privacy settings, bloody applications.

I agree, I can't see it appealing to many people at the moment, i think it will take a few years to become what Facebook is at the moment!
