there is some different look between IE7 and firefox on section Blogroll...

and here is what i think :

1. i think your font is too big...make it smaller.

2. add some space between Text "Richard Lyon" and the border-bottom.

3. i think its nicer if you put your vectorized face. (well.. i'm vector lover. so forgive me about this subjective opinion. :))

4. go to http://www.webdesignerwall.com/trends/grid...column-designs/ for more inspiration. :)

i hope this help

I am not a fan of the blogroll bit, but I suppose it could work.

Defeiently need some space between "Richard Lyon" and the border-bottom.

I am not to keen on the mouse over, maybe just a vectorised face of you.

I think it should be in the centre with the dark background on either side.

Just my views, hope it helps.

The hover-effect is bad. You should not even consider it. I find it a bit dull, but the colors you've used at the left side are great. Use those colors in another layout. This site is not telling anything about you. Ok, you are Richard Lyon, but what do you do? Do you drive a truck for a living or do you have something to offer me? You really need to tell something about yourself, or at least give us the impression of what this site's about.

Good luck. :)

I think the colours and the layout could work very nicely, but I think some extra attention should be paid to each element. Your name definitely needs to not be bumping into the edges of its container.

I'm not a fan of the mouseover effect (clever though it is) because it is distracting, especially if you're going to include the accordian effect in the main content panel.

I also think you could make the nav list a little more interesting - I can't put my finger on it exactly - maybe just aligning the navs to the right could make all the difference?

Sono Juventino : did you notice how there is nooo content yet? Maybe that is why it doesn't tell you what I do yet?

thanks for comments, everyone. keep em coming

And I'm telling you that's bad practice. It's hard to get a nice design when you focus on the layout first. The problem is that you get very bound on how to display your content.

Good luck though. :)

Umm.. hehe, he said it's about 20% done..

I think the hover effect is interesting... Got some work to do though.
