I'm very interested in the music market.

This was expected. They launched exclusively in the US.

The company blamed lack of co-operation from the major record labels.

Major record labels > Money > Deal

Major record labels > No Money > No Deal

I waited yesterday for the beta release only to find it US only.

Major record labels always fail to cooperate with new technology because they're to antiquated to understand the business sense of being involved.

Thankfully independent labels realise the need to move with the times and 99.9% of the best music comes from them!

Well said. Independent labels is where it's at.

I think there is too much of a risk for them even though they should be going fully for the digital approach, after all the industry is failing... and the worst effected is the physical side.

Good music is created by good bands/musicians supported by good labels.

All parties have to love what they're are doing or we end up with the kind of crap you hear on the radio everyday.
