I'm making an interactive portfolio for my web/print design and I was looking to add some captions and short descriptions to the artwork etc, I can get the normal ID captions to show up on the images but I was looking for something triggered when you mouse over the image, and have the info pop up either under the image or on the cursor.If any one has any ideas please let me know.

simple way use the title attribute - e.g.

<img src="beach.jpg" title="on the beach in Jamaica" alt="on the beach in Jamaica" >

Sorry dap, code isn't going to work in InDesign. This is a print program. No code here.

 

Paper Street, your going to have to create a hover state, and then create the graphics on the hover state. let me know if that makes sense. If not, I might be able to make something up for you quick to illustrate, and give you the indd file.

yes i know it's a print layout programme but i assumed he wanted to make a web page

It'll be exported in the form of a .swf it looks like a book and you can turn the pages etc, you may be able to turn the images into buttons then give them a show/hide attribute or a hover state I'll have a look.

And yes there will be a low res web page one but you can create an .html page when you export it.
