Website For Critique

Featured Replies

This is my website for critique. It launched this morning.

Give me some critique on what you think can be added etc. (use the feedback tab on the left side of the site)

If you find any bugs while using it, please just post them here.

Snippet Cloud is a repository where web designers and developers can easily find and share web development related code snippets.

www.snippetcloud.com

Pro:

- Clean design

Con:

- Very minimalistic and standard design

- Snippet box should be wider or fluid, having to scroll left/right and top/bottom while reading code is pretty stressful

- GO button is out of place in opera 11 linux

I think it looks good, very clean and functional.

I would maybe look to add an effect to the main header text. I see you want to keep it a clean design but maybe some subtle effects to the Snippet Cloud text.

Also the text overlaps the magnifying glass in the search box and I can't see the 'Go' text at all on my browser (ie 8).

Bugs are in the process of being fixed :)

I can't wait for it to get out there, there should be a BIG spike in activity on the website in the next week and hopefully even you will be using it soon :)

What's the advantage of this say over something like Forrst which is much more community based and already has installed users? I'm just asking.

Over time, snippet cloud will become invitation only to make it more prestigous, and also, people will be able to purchase and sell premium snippets. It's a little different.
