This is my new website I have designed to gain some business and show some of my work maybe to potential employers.

 

It is not finished as I am allowing for criticism.

Overall very nice, good use of columns and it looks professional. A bit bright for me though, or that might be because of it being late and my eyes wanting sleep.

I like it. Very simple and affective, an ideal base to improve on in the future.

Your website is looking good. Layout and graphics are nice. But images are looking dark fix it bright and there is no head tags give some description and meta tags.

Nice layout and design, however the images used are somewhat pixelated.

This is what goes for "professional" and "good looking" these days? lol

 

Here are a few things that sprung out when I first viewed it:

 

- The "reflection" on the logo does not look anything like a reflection, you need to decrease the opacity a bit to get the feel right.

 

- There is a slightly grey background on the header which seems strange and boxy compared to the shadow gradient you have in the top of the page as well as the general white background. In extension of this point, if it's meant as an actual box or container the text in the right side of the header should have some spacing to the right of it so it doesn't justify with the box it's contained within.

 

- The borders on the left and right side of the middle content don't seem to be same width / color. And the border on the left continues further down than the other

 

- The shadow on the red "All work guaranteed" box seems to have been cut of in the bottom, and the general quality of the image is horrible.

 

- The text on the right once again continues all the way out to the border, give it some air as it has on the left side.

 

- "Site by Jackod.com" so is Jackod.com a webdesign firm or a "HomeCare Cleaning Service"?

 

All in all seems like something that was put together in frontpage, doesn't seem appealing to me.

Nicely designed.. Looking good. Some more content can be added to homepage.
