Organic search results different when logged in than logged out

Featured Replies

Hi, the website I am working on for a small business is the first result for "Ascot accountants" when logged in to any Google accountant but when logged out the result is on the second page.

Is there anything I can do to get the result up higher on the organic search when logged out.

Thanks

Google likes to be helpful.

One of the things it does to behelpful to it's users (searchers) is to personalise their results a bit.

That means what they see may be tailored towards their habits/trends etc.

Increasing organic results is an age old question, just Google around for tips :)

For a quick and easy way to see some progress you maybe able to improve your on page SEO. Meta tags, content (that is well written with keywords), Title etc.

I would post the name of your site if you want some suggestions from members of this forum.

@neil0wen... what is the tracking tool meant to do .. it says its searching then complete then nothing..

@calebk use your browsers Private browsing feature to ensure you are completely signed out of Google.. helps know what you can see and others. Other than that just google for SEO good practice and work through the list.
