Not bad mate - not bad at all...

A few things I would tweak are:

1 - give the red nav bar more margin below itself - so push those three boxes down by 20px and maybe a 10px extra margin at the top.

2 - change the logo - I appreciate this probably isn't your call, but the logo looks like the crudest photoshop logo, there is just no thought in it.

Other than that, very good work :)

Keep it up mate

I agree with terydinho. Very good points. Below is my input.

  1.
  2. The margin between the navigation and the 3 boxes on the home page should be the same as the margin between the 3 boxes.

  3. The logo should perhaps be a bit smaller. I know clients like to have 'the logo as big as possible across the top', but at least make it so that it doesn't overlap the menu above (Home | About Us | etc.)

  4. I'd increase the spacing between that menu and the logo/phone number.

  5. With regards to the code, it doesn't validate.

  6. I would put the javascript in an external file.

  7. Look into using CSS menus as image rollovers are poor for optimisation. Obviously this would mean you can just get rid of the javascript all together.

Look-wise, you're going down the right path, I really like it. Easy on the eyes, easy to navigate and gets the message across.

Just an idea, perhaps have a different car displayed in the header for each page. Just to give it a fresh look when browsing.

That's looking good!

Comments:

1. The Call us header message

I can't help thinking that needs to stand out more, maybe give it some bight happy colours...

2. Give the content a bit more breathing room, as TeryDinho said the nav bar needs a bit of space below, also maybe an extra 10px padding in the content boxes might work.

I really appreciate the input guys. I was able to tweak a little and it does look much better with the advice you guys gave me. As for the banner/logo that was the clients choice. He wanted big and bold title type logo.

Note: This was my first real paying client so it was a pretty big deal for me :)I like to also add that the resources from this site has been a huge help in the process. You guys are doing some great work here. Keep it up!!

Hi.

The edges of bonnet and bumper look blurry.

Yea looks good - my feedback:

  •
  • I would take the motion blur off the image of the car.
  • you have primary navigation and global navigation that are the same.. I would have a re-think about what the importance of each is and how the structure sits together to make the best IA for the user.
  • The footer information is really crowded - i think just pulling one from grey to black might make it a bit clearer

for your first site though its really good! hope that helps! good luck and keep up the good work!

I think that site is really quite good mate! :)

I would recommended stylizing the fonts a little more but otherwise, good job mate! :)
