Hi Guys,

Right, I have finally got to a design I really like for my folio site - a 2 page site, with a main page and a portfolio gallery too; but that is it - so here is the main template

What do you think:

I am thinking i'll code it up over the weekend or early next week - so what do you guys think? Love it? Hate it? just any comments, good or bad... please :)

Looks good mate.

I think your name should be bigger, to make it stand out from the rest of the intro text..?

Looks very good :p.

But would have to agree, think you're name should be a touch bigger.

"contact me about my rates"

Would you be better off saying, "Contact me to discuss your project"? (or something along those lines)

+1 - good call, the copy will be looked at by a mate of mine (copywriter), but that is a good spot :)

Will the portfolio image be one static image or a slideshow for a few examples?

Nice looking, the whole 'kickass' reminds me of nickpellant's website

http://nickpellant.com/

oh yeah :) well I used kick-ass because of my ninja fascination, but I 'spose with the movie (kick ass) coming out last year, it was going to get back to being used a lot :)

Decent design.

I'd added to mouse-nunchuck more dark, contrast contour (stroke).

Also I'd tried to apply some pseudo-japan font for the header.

I initially tried some mock japanese fonts and hated them to be honest mate - so wont be doing that

Will look at the Nunchucks for the coding :) cheers

I like it alot, only thing that looks a bit weird to me personally is the social media icons, to me they look like they are all over the place if you get what i mean, they don't look in a straight line.

Anyway, I love your attempts to run for the hills to be different, Rob.

The idea: a slide show, where the slides - one after another - are replaced by the kick smile.gif.

Haha - well I may animate the ninja if I get time or can find a ****-hot flash designer to help me out, my flash skills are limited

Remember to change that iStockphoto image when you've finished the recruitment website.

Na'h that is on hold til next week now anyway :p

Nothing screams FAKE louder than an iStockphoto in your portfolio. :clapping:

Looks good though - theres something about textures that make my smile.

Some kind of a record for me I think - from scribbles to launch in 10 hours!!

Just pushed it live - still some tinkering to do with the portfolio page, more stuff to be added, but now it is live, it'll keep me on my toes and keep me interested :)

"click here to contact me about your project"

I was looking for a hyperlink on the "click here" bit. (even though all the links are off to the right)
