July 29, 201016 yr Hi All, been given the task to design a site for a small to medium sized recruitment company in my local area and have just had the designs signed off.. what do you think? Feedback please... the good, the bad and the ugly
July 29, 201016 yr Good job mate. Loving color scheme. Clipart pictures need a careful image processing. What if to move top nav bar a bit to right for to align it with the right edge of the page? Also I would played with gradients instead of plain red and blue colors. And maybe removed the shadow that the girl casts on the background (at least outside of the blue background). Perhaps, I'd used here outer white glow instead of the shadow. The shadow under the pile of stones (on the red background) is not realistic. Hope that helps.
July 29, 201016 yr Author Good feedback Lev +1 for you The images all need to be changed - they are just placeholders for now - we are having a photoshoot, so they will all be sorted out. I'll look at the Nav bar alignment too Cheers
July 29, 201016 yr That looks really good apart from I don't like the things the nav bar is hanging from and the nav bar and phone number should be aligned on the right hand side with the page. Hope that is helpful
July 29, 201016 yr CSS3 box shadows? It looks very nice but not what I'd expect for a job recruiting site - surely instead of glossy photos the sites visitors would appreciate a decent search mechanism? Edited July 29, 201016 yr by BlueDreamer
July 29, 201016 yr Author @BD - well it is a unique type of recruitment site, as in they don't want a search function... it was in there to start with... but then removed. It is more a job info site mixed in with some latest jobs, a bit of a weird mix!! I can see this being a nightmare though... just had an email from the client... "my brother thinks the site has too much blue in it." Ah noooooo - not one of those clients!!!! lol
