Coming to an Apple Store near you on May 28th. Pre-order from Monday.

And about bloody time too - I should have had mine by now...

what a load of toss. 700 quid for something that doesnt even have a memory card slot. rip off

Let me see... it's an oversized iPhone that you can't make phone calls with... I can really see it taking off :D

Seriously though - I can buy a proper computer for that money. Why would I want one of those?

has not Flash support

Ah, so it does have one thing going for it then ;)

because "it provides ultimate browsing experience" and has not Flash support

You realise every site you from that post (including the porn one I see he has removed now) has an iphone/ipad capable site as well right?

Also I see £429 for the base model with £700 for the top of the line.

sweet, I'll take two

As much as I'd like one of these... the VAT we have over here bumps the price up a bit too much for it to be worth it to me. Then again. I've heard many people say it's one of those products that doesn't seem that impressive, until you actually have one in your hands and you use it. I'm gonna hold out a real opinion until I can go into town and try it out for myself.

Sounds like a plan to me.

I still can't get that excited about it though. No Flash, no camera, no usb slot...everything that will be included in version 2.0 I guess.

You know an iPhone, it's like one of those - but the amount of hype the Apple marketing machine has blown up it's ass has made it's magical futuristic ass four times as big.

Well there are few on penny auctions, and if you register to a site you normally get free bids to start with so technically you could possible get one for free! :) It's fun too! Good Luck in your search.

Dont bother with penny auctions, one winner, thousands of losers and a waste of money.

But the iPad even with its limitations is great for surfing the web, especially on sites like The Times. If you do a lot of blog surfing and can afford to get one, go for it.

maybe wait until August. for the first 60 days since launch DSG (PCWorld/Currys) have an exclusive deal to sell them. After that places like Tesco etc should be able to enter the fray.

What are the uses for this? Please can someone explain :(

Who cares? You look cool when you use it.

lol, jk, I can't really see a purpose for it (at least for myself, I acknowledge everyone has different needs :friends: )
