April 1, 201016 yr Hey, I'm pretty much just starting out in 'web design' having been a (albeit fairly basic) developer for a couple of years. I have a couple of questions that I'm hoping some knowledgeable people here can help me with! (Apologies in advance if these are a bit 'billy basic'...) 1) I see a lot of pages with 'whole page' jpg images as their background - is there a trick to this so that the file size of the image isn't prohibitive? 2) Is there a good source on-line for free images of swirling vines/plants/fractal-like images? I want to use some as a background for my header but google image search is proving frustratingly vague, wondered whether there was a good site for this sort of thing? Any advice to a beginner would be much appreciated! Thanks, Adam

Maybe try searching for photoshop tutorials in the same vein and then you can get the right effect yourself. It's quite easy. Also look for vector packs.
