Removing files from site

Featured Replies

Hi,

Sorry to put this here, but I didn't know where to ask...

I have updated my site and removed all the old images and pages from the folder.

I can't remove a few and get this error message:

Unable to remove file /httpdocs/howitworks.html: filemng failed: filemng: Command line argument number 4 is unsafe.

Anyone know how to sort this out?

Thanks

Are you using ftp or a file manager in the browser? Whichever one it is, try the other.

As this is a topic relating to your web server, I moved it here to Server Management.

I'm trying to delete the file from my control panel which is plesk. A few are sticking around for this reason.

Who is your hosting provider? You may want to open up a support ticket.

The problem is related to ownership of the file you cannot delete it ..Many chance are the file is nobody ownership.

You need ask your hosting provider to delete the file.

You need to seriously consider moving to another provider. Over a week and no response could lose you a client. I have grown to expect an email response within an hour (office hours)
