Are you installing this online or on your localmachine?

I would just start again, and follow the Famous 5 Minute install again.

file permissions?

Just a blank screen? No error or anything? View source and see what is in the source file.

Also, is this on your local machine or on a web server?

I'm doing it on localmahine, I've tried re-installing 3 times. same problem!

I altered the install file to show the errors, which now gives Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING in /var/www/vhosts/klevermedia.co.uk/httpdocs/wordpress/wp-config.php on line 22

Have you given the database user permissions e.g. read, write etc. for the database?

Looks like you haven't assigned a user to the DB - try adding a new user and giving them full access too the DB :)

Got it, there was a ' deleted in the config.php file that made the database name incorrect!

Feel an idiot :aggressive: ha
