November 24, 200916 yr Ok so I've tried installing wordpress, entered all my database info then when i got to the install.php all I get is a blank page come up? Are you installing this online or on your localmachine? I would just start again, and follow the Famous 5 Minute install again.
November 24, 200916 yr Just a blank screen? No error or anything? View source and see what is in the source file. Also, is this on your local machine or on a web server?
November 24, 200916 yr Author I'm doing it on localmahine, I've tried re-installing 3 times. same problem! I altered the install file to show the errors, which now gives Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING in /var/www/vhosts/klevermedia.co.uk/httpdocs/wordpress/wp-config.php on line 22
November 24, 200916 yr Have you given the database user permissions e.g. read, write etc. for the database?
November 24, 200916 yr Looks like you haven't assigned a user to the DB - try adding a new user and giving them full access too the DB
November 24, 200916 yr Author Ok this is where I'm getting a little confused lol when I create a new user or click old user to see preferences all I get are options to change name or password, nothing else. I'm using plesk btw
